Indoor LED walls — choosing the right pixel pitch

Built to your wall, for indoor spaces

An indoor LED wall is assembled from panels, so it is made to the size and shape of your wall instead of being chosen from a list of screen sizes. It is bright enough for indoor and shaded areas, and it has no bezel lines — the picture is continuous across the whole surface.

The single decision that matters most is pixel pitch, and it comes down to one question: how close will people stand?

Which pixel pitch do you need?

• Ultra-Fine (COB), P0.78 – P1.56 — sharpest from under 1.5 m. Boardrooms, broadcast studios, head-office lobbies.

• Fine Pitch, P1.25 – P2.5 — sharpest from 1.5 – 2.5 m. Meeting rooms, retail floors, churches.

• Standard, P3 – P5 — sharpest from 3 – 5 m. Large venues, stages, arenas.

The number is roughly the closest distance in meters where the image looks smooth. Smaller number = sharper = higher price.

What the cheaper pitch gives up

A P5 wall is the least expensive of the three and it is genuinely the right answer for an arena — but stand two meters from it and you will see the individual dots. If people will walk right up to the screen, a standard pitch will look coarse no matter how good the content is. Choose the pitch for the closest viewer, not the average one.

Do you need GOB coating?

• Standard — exposed LEDs. Fine for high-mounted or protected positions where nothing touches the screen.

• GOB-coated — the LEDs are sealed under a clear protective resin. It resists bumps, dust and moisture, and it wipes clean.

If people can touch it, choose GOB. It matters most on the ultra-fine and fine pitch tiers, where the LEDs are smallest and closest together. Ask us which pitches we can supply GOB-coated for your project.

We supply and install permanently

We specify the pitch, build the wall to your space, install it and support it afterwards, from our Caloocan plant and BGC showroom. We do not rent LED walls for events.
